Malaysia seemed for us a bit of a obligatory in-between to get from the beach vibes of Thailand to the hussle and bussle of Singapore. We didn't really know what to expect from this country, but were determined to make the best out of it. Although in absolute numbers it's quite a big country (Borneo is partially Malay), we limited our exploration to the westernmost part of the Malay peninsula.
